Mega Middle:(

Prof L.P.Rajan called in yesterday to say he liked how I described myself. He also felt it was reasonably accurate description of me. My very large middle ( not the edit page one... part of the body!) is what you will notice first so I need to add  " with a mega middle"  to my description. Why so many "m's" ? maybe the child in me...

Being Indian

That's the title of a book in my sons bookcase. Waded through some chapters. The one on relationship with power and the powerful is a must read for every Indian and those who want to deal with Indians. Suddenly I realized why I don't seem to Fit! When you want to write about the psyche of a diverse nation generalizations are bound to happen still, that India is one nation. gets confirmed when you read this book. I know I need to get hold of sudhir kakkar on the same topic, could not find it in a nearby book store so I dont know for now.
