Visiting to view Dussera Gommbe or Gollu?

Families visit us to see the display of dolls that Viju has been arranging for the last two years. We have children accompanying their parents. We have to literally pull children off their computers to visit and see this display!  Only some parents understand the purpose of the display and that does not feel nice. My wife is happiest when children play with the dolls and parents  tell them the fable/story/legend. Dolls are arranged in a established hierarchy and the purpose as I understand it is to use the festival milieu for socializing as well as passing on some legends/stories to the kids. The story of Rama is about ethics as well as about making a personal choice about right /wrong rather than being taken in by what the 'dhobi 'says. Similarly every doll can be used to tell a story, explain a concept or value. While it is great that this tradition is coming back in a big way, sadly the purpose today looks like it is not at all about children having a good time and learning some things, but about competing adults.

Am looking for some angel funding for this highly scalable model.

Products :  slow steamed vegetables with tempering, salads and other 'eat at home' healthy vegetables
Price: based on daily vegetable prices and yield rates. Product mix to offer best price and 'seasonal' vegetables
Place: Independent stores in residential localities and then several others including shop in shop options
Promotion:
People: Trained in hygiene, slow cooking, healthy cooking, and service. Incentive based on yield rates and customer satisfaction.
Process: Buying based on price matrix that compares prices of different vegetables, average yield and same day last year rates etc.,  Washing and cleaning using equipment and natural vegetable wash products, cleaning/cutting. cooking, bain marie and selling.
Physical Evidence:  open kitchen ( glass partition), bain marie, employee uniforms and service, packaging
Apart from helping people buy healthy food at really good prices, there is potential for the waste generated to be used as cattle feed etc. rather than dumping it in drains and clogging them.

Am looking for funding to build a pilot unit. Hope my application to a angel investor gets accepted. About the economics, it is really good without considering stuff like contract farming and such backward integration.
Now rush me your comments. Palyadha angadi alli will you buy?

Crisp Philosophy

John Chakkola who studied with me at Brindavan Public School and Qureshi who worked with me at Hyderabad Allwyn send me some  'great thoughts in few words' and I feel it might be worth sharing. I dont know if they are original or whether they are just forwards. In any case, it does not take away the value of the lines.

Intellectualism belongs to the urban world. Man must prepare his mind to be inspired by nature itself instead of trying to be inspired by its teachings.

Psychological time is the gap between thought and action. When psychological time is removed from our conciousness we begin to be for ever living in the moment. Such a man is no longer a seeker.

"He must be out of his mind" is a phrase originally used to describe one who is divinely inspired. It meansthat the person is inspired by a power that is outside and beyond him.

A human being must rise beyond every form of peer pressure before his life itself becomes a prayer.

It is those who have not come to terms with their past who try to politicize all differences in the world.


Man must detach himself from all accumulated knowledge of life, which belongs to the memory, before he can experience REALITY

When man is free from his own mind he will begin to represent that empty space that is the source of all creation in this world.

When a man no longer identifies himself with his own thoughts he begins a peaceful revolution in this world.

We are not creators of nature but  we can nurture and protect it if we can understand its laws.

Man must search for TRUTH only within himself. A man who follows someone else or blindly follows a  organization is no longer following TRUTH

It is more important to understand why we must communicate than to  know what we must communicate. We must be intelligent enough to handle difficult subjects about life openly and truthfully.

Religions which do not provide the right environment for man to think, feel, understand and act on his own can breed only SINNERS in this world.

Can a man just go about living his life and doing his work intelligently not to prove he is better than anybody else.

Only those who give up their comfort-zone can see the larger picture. THE KINGDOM OF GOD belongs to them.

 Truth cannot be divided as mine or thine, otherwise, it will fail to establish faith and openness in society.

Never take another man's wisdom as gospel, instead understand the uncertainties of life through ones own life experience.

 Words and hearts should be handled carefully, because, words when spoken and hearts when broken are the hardest things to repair.

Smile and Silence are two powerful tools. Smile is the way to solve many problems. Silence is the way to avoid many problems.
